Her research focuses on digital rehabilitation, implementation research, and evidence-based development of rehabilitation services in primary health care. She has led and contributed to several national and international research projects examining the effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, and real-world integration of digital rehabilitation solutions, including telerehabilitation and technology-supported exercise interventions. In recent years, her work has increasingly addressed digital rehabilitation in low and middle-income country contexts through research and co-innovation projects in Indonesia and sub-Saharan Africa. She is currently involved in research on human-centered AI in rehabilitation, with a particular interest in citizen science approaches to support the responsible development, adoption, and use of digital solutions in self-rehabilitation. She has authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications and presented her work at major international rehabilitation conferences, including the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine and World Physiotherapy Congress. She holds a PhD from the University of Oslo and has played a foundational role in developing physiotherapy education in Nepal, including leading the establishment of the country\u2019s first Bachelor and Master of Physiotherapy programs. With over 18 years of clinical experience, she is a consultant musculoskeletal physiotherapist specialising in chronic pain and musculoskeletal disorders, supported by advanced international training in orthopaedic manual therapy and rehabilitative ultrasound imaging. Professor Acharya has contributed to national policy and curriculum development through collaboration with Nepal\u2019s Medical Education Commission and other stakeholders. Her research focuses on the management of chronic pain and women\u2019s health conditions in Nepal, with particular attention to context-specific challenges in low-resource settings. She has authored national and international peer-reviewed publications and regularly presents at conferences and professional forums. Her work sits at the intersection of physiotherapy, mental health, and justice, supporting survivors of conflict, displacement, and human rights violations through interdisciplinary and survivor-centered approaches. She leads regional capacity development initiatives, including the design of trauma-informed training, clinical supervision systems, and university curricula, strengthening both workforce capacity and rehabilitation systems in complex settings such as Syria, Iraq, and Turkey. Farah has extensive experience collaborating with civil society, humanitarian actors, and academic institutions to translate evidence into practical, context-sensitive interventions that promote resilience and meaningful recovery. She has held multiple leadership roles, including acting head of department, and has contributed to professional committees and national-level initiatives in rehabilitation. She is currently a PhD fellow in burns physiotherapy, developing a protocol for paediatric burns rehabilitation in a low- and middle-income country (LMIC) context. She previously completed an MSc in Disability, Rehabilitation and Development, focusing on return to work after hand injuries, contributing to more structured integration of rehabilitation professionals in early return-to-work pathways. Dr Nyarko has broad clinical experience across both public and private sectors and has taught in various academic and clinical settings. Throughout her career, she has mentored junior clinicians, interns, and students across Ghana and other African countries. Her work strongly engages with professional development, workforce capacity building, and the evolution of physiotherapy roles, including the introduction and advancement of advanced practice physiotherapy (APP) in emerging health systems. She is actively involved in global advocacy initiatives, including Rehabilitation 2030, where she serves as co-chair of the Emergency Subcommittee, and as a rehabilitation consultant with the World Health Organization, acting as Rehabilitation Lead for Interburns (UK). Dina previously worked as an academic in the Physiotherapy Program at UPN Veteran Jakarta, Indonesia. In this role, she was actively involved in teaching, research, and community service, particularly in the field of physiotherapy. Her research focuses on the role of physiotherapy in supporting individuals with mental health conditions in Indonesia, with particular emphasis on the integration of non-pharmacological interventions into holistic care. She is interested in how physiotherapy services can contribute to improving mental health outcomes and expanding the scope of rehabilitation practice. In addition, her work explores physiotherapists\u2019 and students\u2019 knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions, including mental health literacy and preparedness to work with people experiencing mental health conditions. Her research uses mixed methods investigating models of care for people with advanced disease and multi-morbidity, focusing on rehabilitation in palliative care. She joined KCL in June 2016 to conduct her NIHR Clinical Doctoral Research Fellowship, developing and feasibility testing the model of short-term palliative rehabilitation currently being tested for effectiveness in the INSPIRE project. She has authored thirty peer-reviewed publications in oncology and palliative care and has presented at national and international conferences and webinars in the UK, EU, USA and Hong Kong. He has published multiple scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals on advanced musculoskeletal physiotherapy and its economic impact, including Australia\u2019s first trial of physiotherapist prescribing and injecting. While in the UK Darryn became one of the first NHS Consultant Physiotherapists and one of the first non-medical prescribers. He went on to lead national projects at the English Department of Health, resulting in the legislative change for independent prescribing by physiotherapists in the UK. Having led a multidisciplinary musculoskeletal screening service in the NHS, he returned to Australia and led the Gold Coast Orthopaedic and Neurosurgery multidisciplinary screening service for 10 years, before starting a full-time academic appointment at Bond University. Her work focuses on work participation, prevention of work-related musculoskeletal disorders, and interdisciplinary approaches to occupational health. Dr. Nukhba Zia (MBBS, MPH, PhD) is a clinician and researcher focused on strengthening rehabilitation and disability-inclusive health systems in LMICs. She is the Director of Public Health Research at ClinR\u00e9 Foundation and an Affiliate at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where she was an Associate Scientist and co-directed the MSPH Health Systems program. Her research focuses on integrating rehabilitation into primary care, improving disability measurement, and advancing injury prevention through data-driven, implementation-focused approaches across Africa and Asia. She has led and contributed to grants funded by NIH, USAID, UNICEF, WHO, and other partners, and co-developed digital innovations (e.g., RehabConnect), to strengthen rehabilitation service delivery in resource-constrained settings. Dr. Zia has authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications, with recent work advancing policy frameworks for rehabilitation integration, telerehabilitation, and equitable access to services for people with disabilities. She actively translates evidence into policy through engagements with governments and multilateral agencies. A dedicated educator and mentor, she has received multiple teaching excellence awards and provided leadership in global health training. She holds degrees from Aga Khan University and Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
